Catholic University School of Medicine

Policlinico Gemelli (UCSC)

The School of Medicine UCSC provides healthcare at the Policlinico Universitario "A. Gemelli" in Rome, with 1400 beds and a turnover of 70,000 patients annually, for all clinical specialties. The activities are articulated in research, training (medical school as well as ATLS, ERC, ALS, ILS, BLSD, EPLS, and EPILS courses) and healthcare. The hospital can perform as an experimental and demo platform for ICT innovation projects in biomedicine. UCSC has substantial previous experience in European Projects in the Security sector (Emergency and Disaster Medicine) and is member of the Rome Task Force for Civil Defense.

UCSC personnel in the Argoli group have direct experience of trauma and CBRN pathophysiology, casualty triage and emergency care. We actively collaborate with the local Anaesthesiology & Resuscitation, Surgery and Metabolic Medicine departments.
