The CNR Institute for Systems Analysis and Computer Science "A. Ruberti" counts about 35 researchers, whose areas of interest range from Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Optimization, Statistics, Formal Logic and Computer Science to Mathematical Modelling in Physiology, Pathophysiology, Metabolism and Immunology. The main mission of the Institute is to design formal models and use them to understand, control and optimize the behaviour of complex systems.
CNR personnel in the Argoli Group have direct experience of mathematical modelling (deterministic and stochastic); statistical parameter estimation; clinical trial simulation and analysis; control and optimization. We have a long history of mathematical and statistical applications in biomedicine and actively collaborate with colleagues in the Operations Research, Data Mining, SVM and Neural Networks areas.
